What is your Life?
What is important to you? What will you spend your life doing? Are you trying to just get through today? What would you have to accomplish in order to say that your life was a success? With a flood of books and thoughts and teachings out there about what life is about and how to make the best out of it, we can get completely confused about the purpose of life and why we are here. Which one do you think is right? Who would know about the purpose of life more than the creator of life?
Revelation 4:11 says “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” We have been created for His pleasure. Do you know who He is?
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, sinless life and fulfilled all of God’s perfect law. Jesus Christ is God, He is holy, righteous, true, just and, God is love. We are the exact opposite. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23 The Bible teaches us that “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Because of our sin the Bible says that we are enemies of God and that we will suffer eternity in the lake of fire, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 This is in no way pleasing to God. However:
God is love. “God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 We, being the enemies of God were without hope in this world and “God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Jesus said “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Become a New Creature today!
The Bible teaches us that we can be a new creature “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. and all things are of God”
Today is the day that you can make the decision to become a new creature. The Bible says “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” The Bible says “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”
Many people get focused on the things of this world like material possessions, having fun and getting what they want out of life. Now it’s time for us to give our life to Jesus. “present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind” Romans 12:1-2 Colossians 3:2 says “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Will you let your life be about you and your way or will you turn yourself over to Jesus and become a new creature?
Now, God commandeth all men everywhere to repent! Therefore, bow before Jesus Christ right now and turn from yourself and your sinful life. Trust in Jesus Christ today to save your soul from hell and take away your sins.
Give your life to Jesus; let Him use you to bring glory to Himself!
